Island House

Capitalizing on water views with interconnected pavilions and breezeways

The elegant Frank Cabin nestles into a high bank woods above Puget Sound, and takes full advantage of its exceptional waterfront surroundings. Intending to retire here, the owners wished to have all major living areas on one level. The intention was to provide three ‘pavilions’ (bedrooms and loft, living/dining/kitchen, and storage/car port), connected by interior and exterior breezeways. This allowed the wooded environment to penetrate the structure and provide optimal orientation to the views.
